The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed regarding the large variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher number of clients/beneficiaries to status sassa access SASSA services.
“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area daily. The support stage created for intervention activities a large inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to empower the servicing of all clients and maximize entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
